Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, primary function is to provide diagnostic, preventive and corrective dental services at a high level of quality and efficacy. Additional functions will include and not be limited to: administrative tasks related to patient care including documentation of all clinical and electronic contact with patients in the electronic dental record while insuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards. Dentist is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Dental Center and the Funds.
Essential Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Qualifications: Current NYS Dental License, Current DEA Registration Certificate.
Requirements: Documentation of current HBV vaccination status. Current Professional Liability Insurance with 1M/3M coverage. Detail oriented, ability to prioritize workload, ability to effectively communicate simple and complex health issues in a caring and professional manner, strong and consistent commitment to improving the oral health of the patient, strong communication and interpersonal skills, team player, outstanding work ethic and employment record (including attendance and punctuality). Computer skills must include Word, Excel, and ability to provide accurate and timely documentation in an electronic dental record.
Language Skills: Speak, read, write, and understand English
Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability and technical expertise, to analyze, assess, recommend and implement solutions to complex issues or problems with a minimum of supervisory intervention. Must be able to appropriately set goals, objectives, and priorities based upon the organizational mission, vision, and values within his/her scope of services, and that of his/her department or service component.
